Poezentroost - an intervention in Brussels

August-Sept 2020

Within the framework of #StaycationBXL and #Zomer in Jette we have created a new automaton of a cat.
This damned cat is a witness to the times where cats were scapegoated for the sake of our ancestors.
We bring back the damned cat and reenact her sad story in the decor of contemporary Brussels.

"Stick Together" selected for VAF Cross-over Pitch TAZ 2019

august 2019

Stick Together is a tragicomic participative play in public space.

The play departs from international stick games, dances and fights.

The attempt to collectively play a stick game is a metaphor for the

social game we try to play daily in a community that is growingly diverse.

We want to collaborate, but never lose.

We have to deal with cock of the walks, hacks, nit-pickers, tacticians,

cheaters, know-it-all’s, weak, winners, losers, bad losers.

How do you play that game? Which game?

SIFNOS PROJECT 'PHARMAKOS': a short documentary with live animation

Two strangers disembark on the coast of the idyllic Greek island Sifnos. They are offered to the people of Sifnos for the reenactment of the ancient Greek Pharmakos ritual.

Every year, one of the selected directors of the Cannes/Cinéfondation la Sélection competition is offered the chance to direct an improvised short film in the Greek island of Sifnos. The film is produced by EZ Films and Horsefly Productions. 'Pharmakos' is a 13 minutes documentary with puppets about the psychological mechanism of scapegoating.

10-20 september 2015
